- General Duties
FCC Commissioner Michael O’Rielly is seeking part-time and full-time student voluntary interns for the Washington, DC office beginning in May 2018. Interns will be given the opportunity to work on the full range of communications and technology topics handled by the Commission.
Relevant issues may include:
- Infrastructure deployment
- Universal service
- Consumer Protection
- Public Safety
Interns will assist the Commissioner, his legal advisors, and Chief of Staff with legal research, writing, and analysis. Interns may also participate in meetings with various stakeholder groups and help with external outreach such as drafting speeches and press statements.
- Selection Criteria
Candidates should be current law students and graduate students with strong academic credentials and interest in communications law (though experience is not required); and a commitment to public service.
